What a dynamic code is
A dynamic code encodes a short address such as https://qrnever.com/r/aB3dE9x. When scanned, our server looks up where that address should go and sends the visitor there. Because the lookup happens at scan time, you can change the destination after the code is printed, and we can count scans.

The honest part about "forever"
Unlike static codes, dynamic codes depend on qrnever.com staying online. We don't pretend otherwise. What we promise is that we will never hold them hostage: no subscription, no renewal, no trial that runs out. Redirects use a temporary 302 status so browsers and scanners don't cache an old destination, which keeps your edits effective immediately.
If a destination should never change, a free static code is the more durable choice, and we will tell you that every time.
How it compares to monthly plans
Dynamic codes elsewhere are usually sold as a monthly or annual subscription. Over two or three years that adds up to a meaningful amount for a small business with a handful of codes. QRNever's cap is 25 dynamic codes per license, which covers a menu, business cards, a few flyers and some packaging. Your license key is your login, so there's no account or password to manage.
